Meet Katie!

Posted by Luanne | Posted in Tell Tale Thursday | Posted on 22-05-2008

Well, it’s Tell Tale Thursday and, apparently, I have been elected to share a story with you.  I am lucky enough to count Luanne and her family as friends.  If you need a Mary Kay consultant, you can’t do better than my BFF, Luanne.  (She paid me to say that!)  JK!! Katie!

My Mom recently became a consultant for Just Jewelry and I want to use this opportunity to tell you about it.  We are working the business together and it is a fun way to spend time with one another. The company is fairly new, based on Biblical principles, started by two Christian women, and we are happy to be a part of it.  We don’t know all that the company is planning or doing, but we do know about our little part of it.  We are tithing ten-percent of our profits to a ministry to the Sudan, sponsored by a local church—Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church.  If you would like to see what the ministry is doing, click here: http://ginghamsburg.org/sudan .

The jewelry is fun, fashionable, and very affordable.  We would love to show you our catalog, share our enthusiasm, have a fun party for you and a few friends, or place an order for your favorites.    I’ve included a picture of myself wearing “lots” of the jewelry!  Well, okay, it isn’t “just jewelry;” we also have rocking sunglasses!!

Katie!

You can visit the website, www.itsjustjewelry.com , choose your favorite items, and then give us a call or an email, including the item number and a short description.  You cannot order from the site, you must have a consultant. If you live in the Dayton area, we will drop your order off to you as soon as possible.  If you live outside the area, we will be happy to ship it to you for a nominal charge.

Meet Jenny from momminitup.com

Posted by Luanne | Posted in Tell Tale Thursday | Posted on 15-05-2008

Hi everybody!  I am so happy to be the lucky poster today on this Tell Tale Thursday.  My name is Jenny, and my blog is Mommin’ It Up!  I started this blog with my cousin Emily last June, so we haven’t quite reached our one year blogaversary yet, but when we do – watch out!! There will be much celebratin’!  Emily and I grew up together and became moms within 8 weeks of each other, and we now have 4 kids between us, ages 4 and under.  I stay home with my kids and Emily works full-time. So we offer different perspectives on this roller coaster that is motherhood. We also tell funny stories about the things our kids do to us, and we to them, and do baby and kid product reviews.  On Saturdays I also do a show-and-tell of my adventures in couponing. I am a total coupon nerd!!  It’s entertaining to say the least. So pleeassse come check us out!!

And now, a word or two about my family.  I have been married for eight years to Bobby, who is my high school sweetheart.  We met in the sixth grade actually. Holla! He is an automotive technician at a Lexus dealership and he works his butt off so I can stay home with the kiddos.  He is a great dad and a great provider, too.  He is also freakishly good at folding t-shirts. If this whole auto tech thing doesn’t work out, he could have a great career at the Gap.  But I digress.  God has given us two amazing kids, Joshua, who is 4 and Sophia, who is 18 months.  I love staying home with them but they also make me crazy!  It is a double-edged sword. J Seriously, it is a joy and a privilege to be their mommy!  Joshua is obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and he is already reading, and Sophie is obsessed with nursing and is completely crazy – my wild child!  You can read about all their antics on my blog!  So bookmark it!  And read daily!  I am pretty sure it is God’s will for your life. But you might wanna check with Him on that.

Well that’s all I got, folks. Thanks to my good friend Luanne (or Lulee as I like to call her) for the opportunity to share a bit about myself with you all! Come back here and read her blog often as well!

Remember, the person with the most comments this week will be chosen for “Tale Tell Thursday” next week.

Today is “Tell Tale Thursday” and if I know anybody who can tell a Tale it is my dear husband. He may refer you to his blog and/or site, so proceed with caution. Next Thursday I will invite one of you to tell us all about you and your family. Yes, you can link to your site and/or blog. I am assuming the content will be family friendly and if it isn’t, when I review the blog before it is posted, I will have to, for the sake of my bloggy friends, not post it and move on. (run-on much?) On Monday, I will invite the person who has the most blog points. You get one point for each comment and two points if you offer my link from your site. Good luck, and thank you for sticking with me my first week.

dsto:

Isn’t this a cool idea? I am sooo proud to be the first of the Tell Tale Thursday guests! I am really looking forward to reading other peoples guest blogs.

My family is probably quite like alot of others that are going to be reading this post. And yet, I happen to believe that it is the best family that has ever ever existed. And I should know..I am the Dad, the topo de casa dsto.  We love each other without doubt, even when the boat seems to be sinking; A foundation in Christ reminds us that when we fail ( and I should know, I am topo de casa failo) God’s got our back.

My wonderful wife started her site and blog out of a grand desire to not only help her family, but help others be healthy,to look their best, and to feel great about themsleves. And to do it in a way that will never be threatening or with any kind of pressure. Yes, she’s a Mary Kay Lady, but I guarantee like none you have ever encountered. She serves her family in this Godly manner, so how could she be any different? She really has an interesting story in regards to being a consultant. You should ask her about it sometime.

Nooowww…about MY site. www.brothersstudios.com . Not only do we host this wonderful site and blog. I have my own site of ridiculosly stupid videos that I have made with my brother Stephen, and the help of our freinds and family. In essence my brother and I are trying to make each other laugh and we are letting everyone else join in on the joke. I understand that the sophmoric ( or is that moronic) humor we display is not everyone’s cup ‘o Earl Gray, but bop on over and watch one or 4 and leave me a note at the blog to tell us you dropped by.

Come back and visit my wife often. She loves people, and loves helping them.
