Stop A Cold In Its Tracks!

I know this blog is mostly about makeup and fashion, but I can tell you that it is not very fashionable or pretty to be sniffing and snorting all the time.
Today is WFMW and I want to share a product with you that has been more helpful to me than you will ever know. Some of you already know this, but for those of you who don’t; I have a non-existent immune system.
Eight years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus, an auto-immune disease. It is kind of like the opposite of AIDS; with AIDS, you have an under active immune system, and with Lupus you have an overactive immune system. That would be great if my body only attacked the bad stuff in my body, but unfortunately it is so overactive, it is confused and my white blood cells attack my joints, creating Rheumatoid Arthritis, and my muscles, creating a muscular disease called Polymiositis. I have been put on tons of medication. Four of them are immune suppressants which destroy my white blood cells before my white blood cells destroy me. That leaves me not to far away from someone who has AIDS; practically no immune system at all.
One of the hardest things I deal with is infections. I get ear infections, bladder infections, respiratory infections, sinus infections…you name it. When I take antibiotics, I get yeast infections. Ugh!!!! When things get really bad, my doctor takes me off of one of my immune suppressors so the antibiotics will help some. It is like the lesser of two evils because then, my other two diseases flair up and I am in a terrible amount of pain until the infection clears and I can go back on all of my medication. Talk about your catch twenty-two!
Two months ago I got a terrible chest cold and my chiropractor had me try Andrographis Plus. It is an herbal immune support supplement. He told me to take two tablets every 2 hours for 12 hours then take one tablet three times a day for five days. You are not going to believe it worked. I was so excited!!!! He told me to stop taking them after that and then start the series the next time I felt something coming on. It works! I don’t really know what they are exactly, but it works and I will keep a bottle on hand at all times. They seemed expensive at first, but now that I know they work, they are definitely worth it.
I don’t know if you can get them other places, so you can click on this link to Beavercreek Chiropractic Clinic and you can call their office and order from them (I did call and ask them if it is ok and they were fine with it.)
Ok, their site must be down so I will just give you thier information:

Wow! I passed that along to my family… my mother has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and this other disease that I cannot recall the name…she cannot eat wheat or gluton products at all and it took years to diagnose, she got clear down to a lil over 100 lbs and she suffers side effect from it…like certain meds mess her up too…so this will be music to her ears…anything natural is what she is supposed to be looking for. Elizabeth on the View has the same disease…its known to be found in people from Irish Descent for some reason… now my mom is back up to a 140lbs and for the most part healthy…but this will excite her! Thanx!! : )
Thank you for expaining Lupus so well. I know of a few women who suffer from it, but I have never heard it explained in a way that I could understand it. Until now, the disease was a mystery to me… now I have a better understanding of what they are suffering from.
My wife is the strongest person I know…
Sis great job of explaining Lupus. BTW – emailed Dr. Greg to see if he can recommend someone here for me to start going to. I think it could really help my back and it just might improve my whole health. Thanks for the valuable information. Still don’t know how you do it all. You make it look so easy. I know it is not; been around for those days with you but sill. You are an inspiration. Much love and kisses from down south.

That was a great post. I have known you and known about your disease for years, but never really had a working understanding until now. That is really helpful. I know you go through so much, and I agree with Daniel, you’re the strongest person I know. I am so glad you found something that helps, that is a miracle!
Keep up the good bloggy work!
