Every once in a while I take a friend or two to a place called Harmony Farm. It is AMAZING! We go, sit in the outdoor (very awesome in the winter) hot tub and then the therapist come out, with our fuzzy white robes, slippers & cucumber water, take us to our individual rooms and give us an hour full body massage that is to die for.
When I say every once in a while, I mean, maybe once a year.
Several weeks ago, I took my sister-in-law;she works full time and has my 13 month old nephew. She needed a break. After I got home, I realized….I needed a break. Sometimes I am only motivated to pamper myself when I am treating someone else to a little love. I need some love….I’m worth it. I called the masseuse on her cell and asked her if she did massage at another location. To my elation, she said that she did them at her home and the fee was half….yes I said half, of what it was at Harmony.
This isn’t the best video, but it’s gotta be shown. I am going to share my weight loss journey with all of my bloggie buddies. I have been wanting to do this for a while mainly for the accountability aspect of it all, but I have had avoidance behavior for about 3 months. At blissdom09 I met an awesome blogger that did this with her weight loss journey & people loved it. If you prefer Weight Watchers, you gotta check her site out. Esther at faintstarlite gave me the courage to go for it!
Go to Jenny Craig’s site and join me…I could use a friend or two in all of this. You know that that say people who diet with other people loose more weight! Go for it!!!
Today we are featuring a post from guest blogger Alyssa (my awesome sister-in-law). She will be sharing her “Mommy Must Have” every week.
This week I want to highlight my newest favorite thing for my 14 month old son Ethan. I used to live with my Baby Bjorn snuggly, it was the only way to get things done at home whether it was laundry, cleaning, or just walking around the house. Unfortunately like all babies Ethan had massive growth spurt and became to long for the snuggly, so I had to go back to holding him at all times which put a great deal of strain on my arms and shoulders. Then at the beginning of December one of my girlfriends brought over her son and she had this hip hammock on so she could carry him and still carry all of her stuff. So when it came time to do Christmas shopping and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of my Cadillac of strollers I headed to my local Babies R Us and bought a Playtex Hip Hammock.
First you adjust the waist band to your waist size, (I wear mine just above my hips because I carry Ethan higher on my hips), next you take your baby and hold them on your hip, after that you take the main part of the hammock and put over you and the baby and the other strap simply goes over shoulder. If you absoultley need it therer are instrustions on the inside of hammock. Plus you can wear it on either side and it has a loop for toys or a sippy cup ( my fav is from Gerber).
Well that’s all for this this week sign on later for my next “Mommy Must Have”
