This has been an extremely hard week for my family & I . I’m not going to go into it all, but I will tell you that lying in bed, in complete distress I was talking to God and asking Him why some people are so mean and inconsiderate. I don’t understand how people can make a conscious choice to hurt other people and it seems to almost give them a sense of satisfaction. It is sick. I have was so frustrated with it all, I just told Him that I didn’t care “why” anymore, I just wanted them to please stop, I just wanted Him to make those people stop hurting our family.
All of the sudden my mind skipped (you know how it is when your praying and you loose your train of thought) to something I needed to do. A friend of mine had met me yesterday and she said “My friend read your blog gave me these coupons for you to give to your friend that is the “coupon lady.” (Jenny, from momminitupof coarse!) At the time, I thought, “Wow, that is so thoughtful, she has sent these through two people to get to a third she she doesn’t even know.” Back to me lying in bed; you do know what my next thought was, don’t you? It wasn’t, “Crap, I gotta get those coupons to Jenny tomorrow!” It was “Man, why can’t I be more like that….this women is so thoughtful and considerate of someone she doesn’t even know. How, in the midst of taking care of her children and her busy life, does she have the time to look out for the needs of people she doesn’t even know?” Coupons may seem small, but it is a mindset, a worldview, a part of someone’s character that makes them choose what to do in the small things as well as the big. The Bible says that what you do with little, you will do with much. There are people who are good and considerate, and loving and kind. There are people that look out for the needs of others before their own. There are people that have a heart and mindset of giving and not taking.
Oops…back to God.
Luanne: (silence)
God: Luanne, which one are you?

Hi everybody! I am so happy to be the lucky poster today on this Tell Tale Thursday. My name is Jenny, and my blog is Mommin’ It Up! I started this blog with my cousin Emily last June, so we haven’t quite reached our one year blogaversary yet, but when we do – watch out!! There will be much celebratin’! Emily and I grew up together and became moms within 8 weeks of each other, and we now have 4 kids between us, ages 4 and under. I stay home with my kids and Emily works full-time. So we offer different perspectives on this roller coaster that is motherhood. We also tell funny stories about the things our kids do to us, and we to them, and do baby and kid product reviews. On Saturdays I also do a show-and-tell of my adventures in couponing. I am a total coupon nerd!! It’s entertaining to say the least. So pleeassse come check us out!!
And now, a word or two about my family. I have been married for eight years to Bobby, who is my high school sweetheart. We met in the sixth grade actually. Holla! He is an automotive technician at a Lexus dealership and he works his butt off so I can stay home with the kiddos. He is a great dad and a great provider, too. He is also freakishly good at folding t-shirts. If this whole auto tech thing doesn’t work out, he could have a great career at the Gap. But I digress. God has given us two amazing kids, Joshua, who is 4 and Sophia, who is 18 months. I love staying home with them but they also make me crazy! It is a double-edged sword. J Seriously, it is a joy and a privilege to be their mommy! Joshua is obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and he is already reading, and Sophie is obsessed with nursing and is completely crazy – my wild child! You can read about all their antics on my blog! So bookmark it! And read daily! I am pretty sure it is God’s will for your life. But you might wanna check with Him on that.
Well that’s all I got, folks. Thanks to my good friend Luanne (or Lulee as I like to call her) for the opportunity to share a bit about myself with you all! Come back here and read her blog often as well!
Remember, the person with the most comments this week will be chosen for “Tale Tell Thursday” next week.

Yesterday we talked about trends in lip color. Today I want to remind you that it doesn’t matter how awesome a lipstick color is, it matters how awesome your lips are.

Now you can have anti-aging and priming benefits in one product!TimeWise® Age-Fighting Lip Primer creates healthier-looking lips by fighting fine lines and wrinkles while light-diffusing microspheres decrease their appearance. Use it on lips, inside and outside your lip line, to extend lipstick wear and prevent lipstick and lip gloss from feathering and bleeding. Based on a 12-week clinical study, a dermatologist saw 100 percent of the panelists had an improvement of fine lines on lips.
Trust me….it works for me!

One of the big color trends of 2008 is red! Red dresses, red jackets, red handbags, red shoes, red jewelry, and red lips. If you haven’t seen it out there, take a look around:

It doesn’t stop there:

Here’s what I want you to pay attention to…..never have it red from head to toe. If you have a red accent such as a handbag or shoes….don’t also have a red dress and a red jacket and red lipstick. Don’t get me wrong, red lipstick is very in….but not when it matches your dress. As a general rule, if you have glamor lips, tone down your eyes. If you have dramatic eyes, tone down your lips. Let each make an appropriate statement when set up to pop. This rule also works true with this new “red” trend.

Beautiful lips and nails…..

…notice….no bright red lipstick. In most cases, the accessories are nude or black.
Red is the trendy color of the season, but if your going to wear it, wear it! Make it pop!
Mary Kay will donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each Apple Berry lipstick to help change the lives of women and children around the world!
